What to do with the kids this Easter....

I've been planning some crafty days for the kids and for a potential visit to a Boys Brigade Group. Is it just me, or is it often difficult to think of things to keep those little monsters occupied for more than 5 minutes!?!

I've scheduled 3 drop in days for the Easter Holidays, where the kids can make and Easter Card, personalised Bookmark and a Pillowbox Owl. (The dates are available on the website www.pinkpigcrafts.co.uk)

As I've been playing with Bookmark ideas today, I thought I'd share a couple. These focus on what the boys like:-

....and for those of you that were wondering what a pillowbox owl was:-

...isn't he cute! All the pieces to make this owl are punches, which makes it nice and easy to put together!

It's been a nice change to card making, but I feel I must now return to normality and get back to my passion.

The Sun is out, the sky is blue.....

It's been an absolutely gorgeous week here in Morley, the sun has been smiling all week and I've been busy making loads of Mother's Day Cards. In fact, my mum will be receiving 3 of my creations this year, as my brother and sister have commissioned a couple of cards too!

As I work above the DIY shop I worked in for many years, I get requests from the guys who still work there. This week I have created the following for their lovely mums:-

Fizzy Moon with Stampin Up! papers (...and of course a bit of bling!)

The lovely Tatty Teddy with Stampin Up! papers (...and a bit more bling!!)

It's not that I'm predictable with my creations, but as an ex Stampin Up! demonstrator, I feel the need to use up all the lovely papers and now that I have access to more than just one company's products, it's great to mix and match!

Don't forget to share your Mother's Day creations. Email : pinkpigcrafts@aol.com

Spring is nearly here and so is Mother's Day!.......March Challenge

The daffs and snowdrops are in bloom, so we know that Spring is almost here. That means Mother's Day is just around the corner, so I've been busy creating!

Today's coffee morning saw the use of this beautiful Poppy image to create an easel card:

The Poppy's have been coloured using Promarkers (berry red, poppy, red, pumpkin & lush green). The sentiment and ribbons are from Stampin Up!

As well as this Mother's Day card, I have made 3 Springtime cards using Stampin Up!s 2 step stamping set.

As you've probably guessed, March's Challenge is to create either a Mother's Day or Springtime themed card.

I look forward to seeing your creations!
